Services

Medical Massage : It is outcome-based. In addition to stress relief and relaxation, a medical massage focuses on a medical need. It is often used to manage pain, reduce inflammation, improve circulation, relieve nerve compression, improve digestion, stimulate lymphatic flow , increase flexibility or treat other health care concerns.  It includes specific follow-up recommendations. The client will be provided with a targeted plan for treatment, along with recommendations for a series of timed visits versus a periodic spa visit.

MLD / Post-Surgical  Liposuction Massage: Post-Liposuction massage is a crucial aspect of recovery and one of  the only ways to maintain smooth results!

Liposuction is a surgical procedure that usually creates pooling of excess lymphatic fluids. This results in swelling and discomfort for the patient.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a specialized massage technique that is recommended by plastic surgeons, after liposuction, to accelerate the recuperation period.

The science behind why this massage works is fairly simple. Stroking the areas of the body that process the lymph fluid, and the lymph nodes, causes the fluid to drain.

This massage procedure works well and has been demonstrated to show positive results after only a couple of treatments! However, most patients need anywhere from 4 to 12 treatments to remove most of the excess fluid. Patients should expect noticeable pain  relief  immediately / noticeable decreased swelling after the 6th treatment.

Breast Massage / Spurgeon Method

Post-Mastectomy : An essential component of a modern, comprehensive medical treatment plan, Post-Mastectomy massage offers life-changing pain relief and healing for patients who are recovering from breast cancer, mastectomy, lumpectomy, and other painful breast surgeries/complications. Through therapeutic massage, I can work to relieve your pain, improve your range of motion and help you overcome the physical and mental obstacles to feel like yourself again.

Post-Augmentation :Designed to relieve congestion, swelling and discomfort following breast augmentation surgery, this treatment will encourage symmetry, restore pain-free range-of-motion and help prevent capsular contracture. Using a combination of lymphatic drainage, bodywork and proprietary massage techniques, our method works to relieve the chronic pain that often occurs after surgery. In addition to the dramatic healing benefits of professional therapeutic breast massage, daily self-massage is a simple routine you can do at home to help maintain healthier breasts.

THE SPURGEON METHOD

Developed by Sally Spurgeon, The Spurgeon Method™ is approved and endorsed by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Bringing her professional perspective as a massage therapist to her own personal battle with breast cancer, Sally was inspired to create this groundbreaking hands-on approach to recovery that combines massage, bodywork and lymphatic drainage techniques to aid in healing — both physically and mentally.

Medi-Cupping:

Massage Cupping brings about changes in the body’s tissue using suction that causes reverse pressure. This stimulates the flow of blood and lymphatic fluid, supplying nutrients to aid in healing. Effective for muscle pain, cellulite, lymphedema, scar tissue, post-liposuction swelling and adhesions. Massage Cupping can also calm the peripheral nervous system and induce a deep sense of relaxation.

LYPOSSAGE Cellulite Reducing / Slimming Sessions :

Massage technique designed to reduce the presence and appearance of body fat by addressing the body’s lymphatic system, circulatory system, muscle tone, skin tone, and more.

Generally speaking, the idea behind the protocol is to address the excessive amount of interstitial fluid and congestion that exists due to the formation of cellulite. It’s thought that this congestion occurs due to lack of proper capillary flow, which results in both inadequate blood flow and lymphatic flow.

Dry Brushing

The mechanical action of dry brushing is wonderful for exfoliating dry winter skin. It also helps detoxify by increasing blood circulation and promoting lymph flow/drainage. Dry brushing unclogs pores in the exfoliation process. It also stimulates your nervous system, which can leave you feeling invigorated afterward.

AromaTouch Technique (clinical application of essential oils) :

The AromaTouch Technique® is the application of essential oils to the back and feet. This technique combines the unique benefits of human touch with the power of essential oils to create an overall wellness experience. The essential oils used in the AromaTouch Technique were chosen for their individual and combined aromatic properties.  It is an excellent way to immediately reduce feelings of stress and promote relaxation. When administered regularly, it is also effective at promoting sustained results in the body over the long term.
